Castlepoint and Riversdale Beach are located on the
southeastern edge of New Zealand's North Island, a region known as the Wairarapa. It's a 3 hour drive from Wellington. We
spent the first part of the day at Castlepoint, hiking up to the top of Castle Rock for grand views. Then we drove to Riversdale
Beach where we had booked a bead&breakfast cottage. With Kelly away at basketball camp and the busy school
year about to start, it was a nice two day end-of-summer holiday.
